This is one of a series of sculptures I'm working on based around charachters I've encountered while working in theatre, film and TV. It's in a very early stage.

Poor little fishies

I'm starting this blog with two little sculptures I made using copper scraps and sardine tins. the copper is welded together using copper to copper rods. I made these in June after the Art Day at my daughter's school. The children get to experiment with different art forms for the day and I do some metalwork with them. Afterwards I always get enthusiastic about working with copper and I made a series of these fish. Then it started raining and since I don't have a covered studio the project languished a bit.
