I still have a lot of work to do on this, add some contrast, some new 3d elements. I'm happy with the direction it's going thoguh.

Here are some of the masks being worn in the Halloween Parade, Altogether nearly 350 masks were made. About 20 mimutes before the parade was due to start the heavens opened and it bucketed down which I think scared a lot of people away. It didn't rain during the Parade itslf or aduring the festival.

Another view, I've handed over the prototype but I'll make another one and post a pic of me wearing it.

Crow Mask

This is a crow mask/head dress made from brown paper tape and card. I came across this method a couple of years ago and really like it. It's really low tech.

This is one of a series of sculptures I'm working on based around charachters I've encountered while working in theatre, film and TV. It's in a very early stage.

Poor little fishies

I'm starting this blog with two little sculptures I made using copper scraps and sardine tins. the copper is welded together using copper to copper rods. I made these in June after the Art Day at my daughter's school. The children get to experiment with different art forms for the day and I do some metalwork with them. Afterwards I always get enthusiastic about working with copper and I made a series of these fish. Then it started raining and since I don't have a covered studio the project languished a bit.
